SKIN BARRIER AFTERCARE GUIDE
Post-Treatment Support & Recovery
Post-Treatment Support & Recovery
PURPOSE OF YOUR TREATMENT
Your service was designed to support the skin barrier, acid mantle, and microbiome. This approach prioritizes calming, protection, and recovery rather than stimulation or aggressive correction.
Skin health improves when the barrier is respected.
WHAT TO EXPECT
After your appointment, your skin may feel:
-
More comfortable and hydrated
-
Calmer with reduced tightness or sensitivity
-
Slightly pink or warm (this should resolve)
Tingling, burning, or irritation is not expected.
If this occurs, please contact us before introducing new products.
Healing timelines vary. This treatment supports recovery but does not promise immediate or dramatic cosmetic changes.
WHAT TO AVOID TEMPORARILY
To allow the skin barrier to recover, avoid the following unless otherwise directed:
-
Exfoliating acids (AHA, BHA, PHA)
-
Retinoids or prescription actives
-
Scrubs, brushes, or at-home devices
-
Heat-based treatments
-
Aggressive facials or peels
Keep your routine minimal while your skin stabilizes.
